Route

Photo Gallery
A Piece of American History
|
| Yes, Route 66 Proud is Rich in Route 66 History!
Our Photo Gallery shows many of our Route 66 FRIENDS, i.e.,
Route 66 People, Places and Things that we have seen along the
way, as well as our wonderful Animal Friends.
In these first photos, Route
66 People, we feature Randy, the baby of our family, who
was born while we lived above our store on Route 66. These
photos show him as he played and worked around our general
store on Route 66. He is a true, and one of many, Baby from
The Mother Road. We have restored his photos, that are now
49 to 52 years old, and made postcards from them. In two of
the postcards, you will see our old general store building
and the Old Round Barn of Arcadia in the background, as they
stand beside Route 66. It is exciting for us to know that
we had two very beloved and internationally famous neighbors,
the Old Round Barn and Route 66.
We have also restored and reproduced in poster
format our family's 1949 Route 66 Dairy Farm Sale Bill. Our
dairy farm also had a famous neighbor; one that you have probably
seen many times. We will soon have photos of that surprise
"friend". Yes, Route 66 Proud is Rich in Route 66
History! We will be adding more photos taken of Friends of
Route 66 Proud from people, places and things we have seen
along the way to animals. We hope you enjoy our Photo
Gallery!
