this is the authentic restored and reproduced
1949 dairy and farm sale bill that advertised the property
located on route 66 east of arcadia, oklahoma, and owned
by cliff and edith cypret. after purchasing the general
store from the ruble family, which was also located on route
66 in arcadia, cliff and edith sold their dairy farm. at
the time of the sale, they were in their early thirties.
in their later years, they proudly recalled the times when
route 66 travelers stopped along the highway to take pictures
of their dairy cattle, most of which were registered holstein.
this was a special sale to cliff and edith, because they
loved their cattle and farm on rt. 66, but they needed to
make more money to support their young and growing family.
to protect their memories, edith put contact paper over
the sale bill, the best she could do at that time. as you
can see, it worked. this sale bill is now over 54 years
old.
